KOACH, the college program of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is holding its 18th Annual KOACH Kallah, February 28-March 2, 2008, at Northwestern in Evanston, Illinois. Students from campuses throughout North America will come together for a weekend of learning, sharing, friendship, community service projects, an update on Israeli current events, and a taste of Chicago. Adult Israel Mitzvah Corps 2008: Social Action Work/Study Trip

Does 10 days of travel, hands-on volunteering, and social justice dialogue sound appealing? Join Reform Jews from across North America, May 15-25, 2008, for the Union for Reform Judaism Commission on Social Action's Tzevet Mitzvot Yisrael - Israel Mitzvah Corps, coordinated in partnership with the Anita Saltz International Education Center of the World Union for Progressive Judaism and the Israel Religious Action Center. This intensive tikkun olam experience includes learning about social justice issues in Israel, travel to Tel Aviv, the Negev, and the Arava, hands-on volunteer work, and a special Jerusalem Shabbat. Make a Difference by Volunteering for Young Judaea's Tikkun Olam Program

June 24 - July 23, 2008, Israel

Don't just spend Summer 2008 visiting Israel's most diverse communities: Give back to them at the same time! Participants (completing Grades 9 to 12) will have a chance to explore Israel, attend seminar, and have fun, but also to volunteer for various causes that are near and dear to Israelis' hearts—conserving the environment, working with Bedouins or at Hadassah Hospital, assisting people with disabilities, and helping recent immigrants. PanimWorks: A Summer Adventure in the Southwest for Social Activists

June 29-July 10, 2008 and July 27-August 7, 2008, Four Corners region of Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona

PanimWorks Summer 2008 combines social action with living/working in a rural community. For 12 intense days, Jewish teens will reside in rustic accommodations on a Native-American reservation in the Southwest, interacting with members of the Navajo Nation while working together to promote positive change. PanimWorks emphasizes the ethical values that define Jewish life and includes meaningful hands-on community service projects as well as outdoor recreational activities.
